Well that sucks :). I wonder who the 5 are and whether they will take up the offer

Probably the people who bought a 599 GTO would be my guess. If they say no then Ferrari gives the next name, not the dealer.

The extra margin at importer level is multiple 6 figures.

hows that possible? When you look at say US prices (and add exchange and all our taxre) there does not seem to be +$100k in it.

Given we are a RHD country and England is the place you would import it from, choose a spec on a Speciale and then run the numbers through the
AE calculator vs OTR English price.

Will be interesting to see if buyers use their cars for 12 months in Europe/UK before exporting them into Aus. That's the biggest benefit as I see it plus you would get dealer support whilst it is there.

If they are on tight allocation, how would an Australian buyer get a car in UK/Europe?

He has bought a lot of V12's brand new pkus the odd V8. He has also bought two 458 GT3's and spent a motza going racing.
He was nominated for La Ferrari and my guess is F12 GTO.
Fair call I reckon.

Fair call. I thought he bought the FF and then the race cars. Didn't realize he had previous sales.

Might be worth tracking them down and doing a deal if possible.
