I assume you're talking about Goober? For the record, I put him on to the 308GTB at Black Stallion and it's not the most over priced OHOS as Duttons have been advertising one for more money since before Goober bought his.

that'll make 2 people that have paid over the odds then.

where is goober ?

I'm sure that PP is big enough and ugly enough to fight his own battles.

Carry on.... I've got to get my popcorn.

let's face it....if scud had a clue, he'd never have earned the nickname "gunna"

goober's car overpriced? i'm starting to think it was the bargain of the year!

Well, technically it still means Goob's was overpriced as far as the market will handle if they can't sell another for those $$.  But his car is mint!

FWIW, on the weekend I went to a Fiat/Lancia show, and Carmelo's (good mate of GP) uncle brought his '78 X1/9...  Had it since new, always stored in clean area, never seen a drop of water - this thing was amazing!  Body panel fit like a brand new BMW, this was like a modern showroom floor car - no shit!! (except the 70's striped colour seats  )

This is the only pic I got of it, it's one of those cars you could spend an hour just going over all the beauty in the detail - whereas nearly every other X has lost that within a few km of driving off the lot.

OMG - believe it or not, I'm actually eating popcorn. :tilt:

the dutton car is a dry sump, with extensive service history, recent engine rebuild and concourse results of merit.

in the rest of the world at least, they are worth considerably more... perhaps 10%, than an equivalent wet sump car.

but this isn't the rest of the world.

here aussie cars, rightly or wrongly, attract a premium.

and the more original, the better, subject to condition etc.

i heard the engine rebuild was done by someone who's blind. any truth in that??
