Hey everyone

Picked her up yesterday, had the arduous task of driving it from Syd to Canberra in ferocious rain and wind, so not a great into!

After driving it around all day, I've figured out some changes I'd like, and would appreciate any pointers.

1. New exhaust - I'm leaning towards the capristo.
2. The centre console is a bit run down, and I'd like to replace with the carbon fibre centre console.

A few other things which I think may be maintenance issues ...

1. The window doesn't line up with the seal on the drivers side door (right at the top section), which when raining allows water to drip in (very annoying last night)
2. After driving this morning, it felt like there was a substantial amount of heat being released from the side vents next to the glass panel. There was also a slight burning smell (almost like the breaks were being very hardly used, which they weren't)
3. Lastly, the breaks seem quite soft (the M3 would stop on a dime, the 360 feels like it needs a fair bit of notice)

And very lastly, does anyone know any good mechanics in Canberra?

Thanks heaps guys :)

No pics? Oh and its brakes not breaks

Regarding exhaust and carbon fibre panels, check out yahoo japan auctions. _Heaps_ of great stuff available there for all Ferrari. You can use www.nengun.com or importmonster.com to buy stuff/view the auctions from there.

Oh if the Germans could make their cars as exotic as the Italians

As for the centre console, i would definately go for carbon fibre look....here is a place that does the carbon fibre look.....  http://www.nvdautosport.com/carbon/carbon_fibre_others.html

or you can go the other option to get them recovered with a carbon fibre look from a place here in brisbane, it looks insane... http://www.mad-coatings.com/?page=gallery&prod=carbonfiber.
(p.s i am not affiliated with any of these companies i just have alot of stuff about ferraris on my computer should the day arise that i can get one....so it is a long list hahah)
Hope this helps mate....enjoy that beast whatever you do.

I actually looked at "breaks" and knew it wasn't right ... but had 1 beer too many!

Thanks heaps for the nengun website - LOADS of carbon fibre parts.

Has anyone on here ordered from the sellers there? It looked a bit ... amateurish ... and I'm obviously concerned as it's a fair bit of coin to be sending over to the land of the rising sun.

Hey Pazo - thanks for the reply! The car is absolutely insane - I drove a M3 prior to this, which was definitely fast and handled beautifully, but the raw, unbridled power and sound when the top is down on the 360 is stupendous. I took my dear old mum out for a drive yesterday, merging into traffic, dropped it down to 2nd gear and floored it - the unmistakable roar of the engine was almost drowned out by her screams and laughter. Awesome, awesome car.

If anything can motivate someone to succeed, then a Ferrari is definitely it.

I think I should go into business recording the engine/exhaust sounds of nice cars properly

theres are basically no videos on youtube recorded with real microphones
even the tuner shops posting videos themselves dont seem to be able to do it

I have the mics and all associated sound equipment, just need a nice camera with smpte sync

with modern cameras the picture is great but the sound is terrible, the mics and processing is designed to make voices stand out from background noise, exactly the opposite of what you want with a loud exhaust
