ok guys, here is the deal. I made a decision to get the chip done, and job was completed yesterday.
My findings in the matter are;
My car is 10 years old,
chip made it smoother with a better power range through the gears.
I noticed more power down low and a little more up high.
Overall, it noticably improved performance.
we ran it on the dyno before and after, i was suprised that the car ran same power as stated by ferrari, on the first run. They state 400bhp at motor, we got 320hp arw(215kw) Second run got 360ish hp arw (245ish kw). Not bad when you consider chip and filters only.
in summary, not bad

holy shite. +40HP ATW!   ????

What were the torque readings 1st & 2nd run?
Where these figures before & after?
I am very scepticle with dyno readouts, as I have seen what these guys can do first hand (I am not saying that these guys have done it all) but I had a close friend, a few years ago now, show me how they can adjust a power figure reading an extra 30kw (or any power amount for that matter) at the wheels just by a couple of clicks of the keyboard but if you can actually feel the difference, that is all that matters.
Nice increase though :thumbsup:

I get your point. If it's legit, you'd feel 40HP at the rear wheels for sure though. Wouldn't just be smoother, should be noticeably quicker.

Hahahha. I felt the same on my old M3. Buuuut, the lure of cheap HP is always there. Love to hear more from Ferrarista, maybe we should all chip in (hahah) for another dyno run to make sure. I'd get this done in a SECOND to my 360 for those gains.

You get different gains from different cars and as you say I wouldn't trust the dyno tests, if you can't feel $2000 worth of difference take it back.
I felt no difference at all, so their offer of a dyno test didn't interest me.

Best way to tell and quantify any gains would have been before and after MPH at your local drag strip.

That's what I think too. 

I reckon you'd really feel an extra 40 hp, and your terminal speed at the end of the quarter would reflect that.

hey, will scan graph and post up soon.
funny you mentioned the dyno, as the guy who did it was telling me the same thing. people alter the dyno.
The people who do the tuning were not the same company as the dyno testers and are not affiliated, so its safe to say that the indications were more realistic.
