Portuguese soccer ace Cristiano Ronaldo has miraculously walked away unscathed after smashing his Ferrari into a barrier in Manchester, England.

The 23-year-old Manchester United player was racing through a tunnel on Thursday morning when his red supercar hit a road block. One of the car's wheels came off and the front bonnet was completely demolished.

Ronaldo was able to emerge uninjured, albeit a little shaken, and police have confirmed a breath test came back negative.

A spokesman for his soccer club confirmed the incident, saying, "He was involved in an incident this morning. No other cars were involved."

"He's fine and is training as normal with the team this morning."

Ronaldo is expected to return to the soccer field on Sunday when Manchester United take on Chelsea.

Wonder what hit the windscreen?

Since hes fine, I would guess it wasn’t his head.
Looks like a pretty decent front end hit, id say the windscreen took a decent amount of energy and cracked under stress…

It's minus a lot there at the mo temp wise (especially that early in the morning), and I would say he accelerated crossing an iced white line, car would have got twitchy.  Happened to me on the London M3 in the Lotus.  Accelerating in third and the rear end just came around when I touched the line.

Yeah I was just reading there are beaches actually freezing up around the UK at the moment

There's a hilarious video of cars and buses etc just completely losing it without prior warning heading into an icy tunnel, will search later if I remember.

It's a 599

you don't need no iced white lines to lose traction!

hmmmm... ice.... white lines....

that's more like it :scratchchin:

The left front wheel and bits are about 30 meters back the road, I'd guess bits of car bounced off the screen to do that damage..

Big hit, would have been moving pretty damn fast.........
