I haven't driven either car on the track - and may never - so I can't really comment on that bit.  Is there a missing page or two?

Thanks - great read.  I agree with most of it.  I haven't tried the cars on the track - and I may never - but you get the feeling that the Ferrari would be more at home there. On the road, the McLaren amazes more often but there isn't much in it. You couldn't go wrong with either.

The power to weight numbers seem a little off.

I love my car. Buy your own

I don't know why it's relevant to compare the 650S to a track weapon. The fact that they do shows what a potent machine the Mac is.

Just a tad :p

I don't know where they got 1320kg for the Speciale's weight either. Perhaps if they took the engine out before they weighed it

So it bloody well should be too. The 650S engine is only 700cc smaller capacity than the Speciale; but then it has 2 turbo's bolted on.

Don't believe the "track weapon" hype either, the Speciale is a Universe away from a proper race car. Good for a road car perhaps; but still a road car.

I am also surprised at how civilised the Speciale is when compared to the Scuderia for example.
