From the article:
Very little is currently known about this incident, although reports suggest a teenager was driving. The extremely wet roads probably serve as a good indication as to how the accident happened. The car has suffered major damage all over, with the back wheel twisted inwards, the body panels smashed and loose, and the airbags deployed. It looks doubtful that this LaFerrari will ever see the roads again.

Doubtful it will see the roads again? Cmon trev, it all looks pretty superficial. No way a 100k of damage is going to retire a $2m car.

Likely to be repairable;  but that will be very expensive.  All sorts of drivetrain and suspension damage likely to lurk unseen underneath. Remember the engine hangs off the tub, the suspension off the gearbox/engine unit.
Ugly, very ugly!

He must be gutted, looking cool at school and now famous for trashing dads car. I'd be interested to see if Ferrari fix it.

Ferrari have built and certified a replacement for an Enzo that crashed and burnt to cinders. If you have enough money and influence anything is still possible.
