a UK 328 SOUNDS different as well? power i can understand, but sound? why?

#sigh# i thought you were smart...

Oz 328 has skinny manifolds routed completely differently, single entry silencer and catalytic convertor. Also, much lower compression and retarded timing.... they're "wheezy"....

what's smart got to do with it?

what is the difference in the compression btwn the two?

is the timing only retarded at lower revs? it would surely end up being the same total at higher revs...yes, no??

I love my car. Buy your own

i have NO...ZERO....ZILCH interest in knowing anything about a 328GTS. if you want a 328GTS there's only one to buy, an aussie one.

FULL STOP.

anything else you'd like to know?

why? A UK one is a much better car to own and drive, and you can buy them for similar or even less money than an Oz one....

and should you happen to do anything competitive in one, you'll get beaten by anyone with a UK car!

you already know why...it's not worth debating.

anyway....is the ignition advance just steeper in the UK car, or is totaly advance actually more?...or both

No, my opinion differs to yours. So debate is invted.

both, and more.

The OZ car also has "lazy" injection... The frequency valve and mixture control combined with cat etc, makes throttle response woeful in comparison to UK car.

Until you drive a uk car (and check its boot), you just wont appreciate the difference... it is MASSIVE....

Would that be the same for a 308 Phil, or only 328's and newer?
