did you see my edit?

yep....so that's like saying "these are the facts, unless they're not the facts, in which case, they're not the facts at all"

i can buy a good 328 in the UK any day of the week for GBP20,000.00

i can land one here with duties and taxes paid AND compliance for $80k drive away, no more to pay LEGALLY.

errr... thats a 20,000 pound car though... right?

#sheesh#

your 20,000 pound 328 won't be very nice. it'll need a LOT of bucks spent on it to make it nice.

that's not my understanding.

i think you're believing the advertisements too much. what people ask and what they get is two different things, even in the UK

you should know better.

i'd prove it to you if i wasn't so damn lazy.

I do know better.

Right now, my dad has a 308 GTB QV, with only 12000 miles on it... and it'll make well over 30,000 pounds... advertised for 38,000.

phil..that's just total bullshit, ok?

12000 miles is not "normal"

the equiv of my ex's car...1989....50,000km....all history....good condition.....20k pounds. any day of the week, ok? it's just how it is.

you're dreamin'

50,000km is still low... thats 32,000 miles = low for ~20 year old car, even a 328.

"Normal" would be more like 60,000 miles... a tatty 60,000 miler will be 20,000 quid, yes. but it'll be rough.
