rims now with correct Corse/speedline stickers and funky cool (and less cracking) "pasta groove" new brembo discs on front.

Bit scary how the car was 50k schedule serviced elsewhere recently, yet they missed the gaping cracks in the discs that went inside and around the edges, over filled the brake fluid till it leaked out in the luggage area, missed the "worn to steel" handbrake shoes and put the rear wheels on the wrong side, oh, and missed the unlocked driveshaft nut....

Scary lack of experience and basic technical knowledge "elsewhere".

it hasn't done any track days since the 50k was done VERY recently.... I think less than 12 days ago..

And no, I'm nothing more than *I* would want or expect...

The service done was terribly negligent.

I have no way of guessing. funny how you're always quick to pick up on issues you perceive caused by others whilst ignoring the major screw ups you do. also you have no way of knowing what the instructions were to the other mechanic. otoh they might have just been crap which is unfortunate for ferrari owners.

1st.. I haven't had any major screw ups, and this discussion isn't about a major either. I've had remarkably few minor ones. Yours was ~$300, and it's the worst, in fact the only REAL one. The others you like to pork chop about are bull shit ones, and you know that.

The car was given a 50K schedule service and charged for that. Anything found should have been reported as part of the service inspection... but it wasn't.

My point is, that a 355C is a specialist Ferrari, not just an ordinary Ferrari. And several little areas of that speciality were overlooked by the "ordinary" Ferrari service mechanic. I'm sure the same mech would service an ordinary 355 better than he did this one.

that's not good. strangely, i've never replaced the front discs on my car. they're still well in spec and have no cracking.

how do you see the worn handbrake shoes? that's the trouble when you chop and change mechanics i guess......they have a list to tick off at certain intervals, and look no further...so maybe they'd have checked them at 45000km? who knows. either way, not great.
