surely its not worth them even telling the public how many they will make, only that its limited.

with todays globalisation of the internet, it doesn't take long for enough S/N's to go into a data base and figure out they're telling lies...

hell, they made something like 4 F50's with the same vin number...

Yup.

The F50 S/N in question is 999999.  Pretty amusing when 2 of them were spotted together at the same track day in Europe. For those of the Anorak persuasion, F50's have unique numbers stamped into the door locks so it is easy enough to tell that they are different cars.

Ferrari said that they made 349 F50's; but there are about 380 confirmed VIN numbers out there :p
