it was actually brought up by IanB.....and FF started being all defensive.

nothing to do with me, really. (not that i mind picking up on his BS)

Okay

Well on topic, doesn't look gold to me and that's only judging by this pic alone. I'd need to look at it to be sure. Futhermore, cameras don't always get the pics right.

fair enough.

in reality to ME the gold tinge is more visible in photos....in the light of day you have to hold them the right way to see it.

some pics from a factory official book. Post your own from another official book if you care to check.....

Interesting to see the actual colour, and the artists impression of the actual colour.

The actual colour pic is taken from a car... that has been exposed to air for a while... oxidisation takes place from the moment they are made. Oxidisation causes the colour to fade, as does heat and aging and handling.

A new one, fresh out the plating vat, or fresh out a plastic sealed bag when bought new as a spare part... are more gold.

The original gold CAD plating is less shiny than than the newer yellow chromate or gold zinc passivication.

The factory appointed artist name is clearly visible in the pics. The factory approved these pics to be published ina  factory approved book. An expensive one too.

Enjoy, and discuss

Pics and colour judgement - ask Bobby to post some pics he's taken of the 355CH and lets vote on whether it's red or pink.

Heres a brand new caliper from superformance.

Their parts are considered original worldwide, in the eyes of almost all judges.
thats gold, on the Alfa's they were silver.

that's gold, clearly, cos it's Gold Zinc passivication.

the Alfa caliper is gold CAD. It's not as gold OR shiny as the superformance one when new, and it has faded also.

Rubbish!!

Whilst they sell some reasonable replicas, alot of their stuff is just wrong and incorrect.

Here you go, you can buy these from their website and they would match "your" calipers
