I'm intrigued by F512M... I like driving them and servicing and repairing them....

and they are theroetically better than a 512TR... and they do generally make more money on sale....

BUT, they are almost universally NOT liked for the styling....

And, on a technical note...

what makes them better than a TR....?

1) They have titanium conrods and rev faster and make a TINY amount more power... (but so did a few other models, and they've dropped them now due to lifing problems)
2) errr...... there is no 2, or ANY other technical improvement over TR I can think of right now.

(all F512M have ABS, but so did the later series of 512TR, so that in itself doesn't really count.

ok, so what makes the F512M worse than a 512TR?

1) They're uglier, in most people opinion
2) They have less luggage space due to the silly headlamps... a LOT less
3) They're more expensive

They're more rare I guess, could be an attraction in that, but 512TR are hardly common.

didn't expect THAT reply

as with all model ferraris, the last of the model is the best....at least in the last 25 years...(even if they have funny wheels)

thats not really factual, more an opinion.. You need to define "best", really.

the carb 308 is the best 3x8, in most peoples opinion. Certainly better than 2Vi and arguably QV.

The 575 is not better than a 550. It simply suits it's biggest market (US) better.

The later 5.2 motronic 355's are not really better than the earlier 2.7's either...

absolute rubbish!!

all ferraris are engineering in motion. things are improved on them ALL the time. better fit. better finish. more reliable. all the little bugs that occur are updated and fixed (not all...only some, sadly)

everyone knows the 328 is the best of the 3*8 series....just not necessarily the most desired by enthusiats....but there's a reason they're the most expensive of them all but the glass car.

everyone knows a lot of the 355's 'ills' were sorted by the last year of manufacture.

same with 360s.

like i said...all of them

you'll claim otherwise because you just would....but prices world wide reflect that most people think that too.

inluding TRs

it seems like you define BEST as build quality....

ok, well in relevence here... a F512M is NOT better built than a 512TR.

and a 575 is NOT better built than a 550.
