I'd stick with the Benz. 3 yr warranty, its quicker than a 360 and should have a decent resale given that it has a 9 month wait list.

A cheap 360 would need a slush fund of $10k+ for maintenance at any one time

Yes but the 360 has only mantinance to spend money on. Say over 3 years 25k as a worst case sinario.

The merc will depreciate 40k in the same 3 years. There is no amg that does not depreciate massively.

Honestly if i could find a decent 360 for 85k (Dreaming- I know) I would definitely get one...

Just gotta sit and wait for an auction or a liquidated one...

Nope.

Have the money ready, you won't get finance, and go calling all sellers of 360, even ones asking as much as $120k.

If 85K is your budget for purchase -  what have you allocated to your maintenance budget?

Stick with the merc for trouble free driving.

Well, he's happy to rip up $40k+ of depreciation on the merc, so the 360 will seem cheap to own in comparison.
