That's a great effort, should be featured in a magazine or somewhere in the media.

So I didn't have the multi million dollar budget that Elvir had. But was getting bored with my old brick cinema, so spent the last 10 weeks giving it a makeover.

Ripped out the aircon and old 70's ceiling lights, painted walls, new floor, new rear display cabinets, painted the ceiling and installed new downlights and stuck in 600 fibre optics.  Should all be completed this weekend.

Running a DLP Mitsubishi projector onto a 3metre retractable screen.

Much improved.

All finished now.

If anyone else is thinking about putting fibre optics in their ceiling -     Don't.   It's a new kinda hell.

180 degree panoramic shot.

What is the difficulty with the ceiling fibre optics? If Rolls Royce can put it in the headlining of a car I would have guessed that a ceiling would be easy?

I'm not as bendy as i use to be.

Lying on ceiling beams in a dark roof cavity in a 60 year old house with prickly insulation batts that i'm sure were made before the war and probably made from fairy floss or asbestos. Then having to put 0.75mm fibres (600 of the little fu*kers) into 600 randomly placed 1mm holes that i had predrilled from below.  Did i mention lying on thin roof beams - trying to balance a body mass that was fit and healthy some 20 years ago. Oh - and trying to look for tiny white holes in white plaster is not easy.

I'm sure they have little chinese boys working at the Rolls Royce factory who are very bendy.

Yes, The end result looks great, and when people come over to visit and marvel at my spectacle and ask how i did it, i'll just say it was easy and anyone could do it.
