You dont get 10 years for murder in this piss weak legal system of ours.

He should have to wear a bracelet or tracking device of some kind and attend AA that guy shouldn't drink at all.

You are so right. BS fines and excessive draconian measures for road breaches but nothing for beating the crap out of your partner or worse murder.

Yeah you'd think he would have learned by now, no matter how drunk he is he should know better then to get behind the wheel

The more I hear about "judges" lately the less I like it, dangerous nut cases out on bail, stupid lenient sentences.

Zero accountability. How often are judges under review for poor sentencing decisions?
