I did some research and looked up some comparison stuff, ended up ordering a Drift Innovation HD170 Stealth. Having a screen was the clincher for me, I would quickly get frustrated with the device if I couldn't tell how things were framed and probably have a hissyfit fire-sale like mhh with his GoPro or whatever.

well looks like gopro have jumped to the top again....

today they announced their new hero3, has some specs that are unmatched by the others.

4k resolution @ 12fps (somewhat useless)
2.7k resolution @ 30fps - awesome
1440p @ 48fps - very awesome
1080 @ 60fps - Finally!!!
960p @ 100fps - look forward to high quality slow motion
720p @ 120fps - even slower slow motion!

i will probably get a couple of these....
