I have a FEW contacts saved as vcf I think, but only like 7 out of over 400, and I can do them ok, but the rest are something else and I'm outta patience

What's your old phone???

Just keep calm and go get a cup of tea......

OK - so I guess you have tried to sync the Nokia with Outlook via the PC suite.

There is another way. You can:
On your Nokia go to Contacts
Go on Options > Mark/Unmark > Mark All
Go on Options > Copy > To Memory Card
Connect your phone to PC
Browse to /Other/Contacts/ on your phone’s memory card
Copy all the .vcf files to your PC

yes, OLD phone IS synched with outlook

but the file names seem to be the problem

the motorola site wants a different file extension to the saved ones, other than the few busienss card contacts I've saved

I have cuppa tea, white and one, and 3 tim tams... is that gunna be enough??
