Probably not at all related, but yesterday several of us were out doing the winery thing through McLaren Vale for Sea & Vines, and at one winery there was this fat chick on a mobility scooter - however it looked like nothing more complicated than a kid's trike with a battery not much bigger than a microwave pasta.

Point was she was scooting around everywhere and we were just checking out the bare-bones machine with a bit of envy, usually people like this are on big chunky scooter things, I'd guess hers was at most 7-10kg, really cool - basically a lightweight Segway where you don't have to bother to stand up. :p

My dad has one of the Sherman tank scooters to get around on. Has a 30km range on it. I was looking at getting him one of these for the car.
