errr, 'scuse my grease monkey vocabulary levels....

but what exactly does the word "forum" mean anyway???

have people forgotten it's true meaning???????

but anyway, my vote would be bitchwhinge.com or bitchnwhinge or versions there of.... as after all, that's basically what it is......

or I guess you could tame it to gripes.com or something less offensive

Would you stop a big tobacco sponsoring the website and an employee voicing an opinion?

If it were my call, I'd encourage them - why can't smokers have a voice (and spend their money on the site rather than on stupid 'nanny' adverts).

What do you think?
C'mon, do it!

i like the idea... i can see discussions getting out of hand though.
it would need to have quite a few moderators (when up and running) but still keeping freedom of speech.

would it be pretty much like whirlpool forums but for society?

How public do you want this thread, wide open or should it be put into the Members Private Lounge?

It would suck if a member was trying to make a go of something, had invested time and money and was looking for ideas and advice and someone in the corporate sector found this thread and stole their ideas.

* Get HighSteaks running again - this will satisfy my need to experience and appreciate new food/grog/lifestyle stuff, of course with ideas to make it profitable in short order, with view to long-term building

I like the idea behind this, if done correctly it could have a good public and commercial appeal.

Being really interested in food, I am thinking of just having a small blog for my random ramblings on food / alcohol. Not being the word smith like yourself I couldn't try and use it as a source of income.
