I don't know why they don't exist, but has anyone else noticed the lack of decent "for sale" websites in usa/europe that Australia seems to have.

Ive never found any car sales, or real-estate sites in the usa that rival carsales.com.au or realestate.com.au or domain.com.au
the ones that exist look like they were built in 1990 and haven't changed since.

i think if anyone wanted to build an enormous website business, buying carsales template and implementing that in the USA would be a winner.

Yeah the USA car thing is very fragmented. Trulia and Zillow however are as good as realestate and domain.

On another note I have recently purchased an Australian marketplace myself with a huge audience. It look's like it was built in the 1990's but I'm in the process of totally rebuilding it be like some of the carsales sites plus getting iOS and Android apps.

I've scoped out what the competition looks like in the UK and USA and the sites are awful as well.

Zillow & Trulia merged together now instead of competing. Would be RE & Domain coming together as one. Its also interesting to see that Google have applied for their "broker" licence for home loans just recently with James Packer as a backer of Zillow for a while now

Crazy that Ferrari Maserati Sydney's website and emails have been down for 3 days ... and no updates to their FB or other accounts on progress with a fix.
C'mon, do it!

Been down since the weekend and no time estimate on a fix.
Seems weird, it's just a web site unless someone forgot to pay the bills .........or the bills won't be paid
