If anyone wants to play around with this... in my new indoor golf centre, I have 10 x 4m screens hooked up to high end PCs - been thinking that at night would be good to convert to either MW3 or driving sim set up :)

ps. 3 of the simulators are 3-screen sims (each 3.5m in length)

Oooh - computerised Golf.  Reminds me of the Computerised golf in London we use to go to.  Each ball has an inbuilt chip.  Smash the ball and the computer screen tells you how far and gives you a score.  Plus each cubical has food and drink service buttons and individual gas heaters to cater for the English weather.

Great fun.  Pity they don't have the courses here.

I've been thinking about getting a Simworx ever since I saw it in action at MM a while back. Spoke to Jack Klaver about it when I saw him at Winton last week. Are you happy with it mate, anything you would change ?

The servo stuff is mostly gimmicky - at least on this model. 90% of the feedback is just bouncing around, the tactility of the steering wheel feedback gives you way more information about what's going on than anything you get from seat of the pants. I would prefer a full-featured thing which gave you a real impression of G's by being able to tilt properly and smoothly, having the whole system bounce around is more of a distraction than enhancement. In a real scenario even if you are bouncing around you can still focus on something in the distance, in this scenario because the screen is bouncing also, it's difficult to maintain focus. Fun though, and I guess if you get plenty used to it it might be worthwhile - it's a little nauseating though...

Goobs has gone pretty extreme on this one, but I think for a really good (non hydraulic) setup you could do it for $5k, in which case go ahead and set up 4 of them for uber fun.
