 Posted February 27, 2012 19:12:22

No bargains here -

Quote
Telstra has released its prices for the high speed National Broadband Network.

The company says its home phone and broadband connections go on sale tomorrow at $80 a month for a two year contract with downloads of up to five gigabytes.

Customers will pay up to $150 a month for a two year contract with downloads of up to 500 gigabytes.

Telstra's customers must keep renting their existing phone line if they want a telephone service in an area where the NBN has not been connected yet.

$80 for 5gig?

Absolutely hilarious pricing.

OK - just for something fun:

What do you expect from the NBN?
What do you understand about the NBN?
When do you think the NBN will be in place and you can use it?

Any other comments welcome........

Its going to cost $47 Billion + Blow outs, so someone is going to have to pay.

When they roll NBN down your road are they pulling out the copper cables? bye bye ADSL?

Also when they say they are rolling out a suburb, they really are only doing the main roads and 1/3 of the residential premesis.
(check out the Prospect map SA that was going to be finished by last year)

My prediction is wireless will roll out over the next two years with 4G speeds and no one will bother with NBN.
