Yes, I can't remember the name of the bbs I used in Adelaide but it was fantastic!
The first ISP I used was called dedset internet, and you had to go into their shop front and pay cash.
The boss there would proudly show you his room full of modems, 1 for each person currently connected.
You would get booted every 30 minutes to allow others to connect

I remember my first internet encounter, Netscape navigator of course. Sitting at the keyboard thinking - ok, so.. what's on the internet?  :D

Ok, Just google'd that from my phone and Nope'd straight out of it.. First thing I did was go to the http://www.holden.com.au/ and printed off pages from the website  :p in my defence - I was about 7years old.

I bought a disk from a internet provider which contained a text document with 100 internet address to visit.

Still remember working out that i didn't have to type "http://" at the start of each address

Wow that does take me back.
Before getting Netscape going I used to use Lynx (text based browser) and cruise the newsgroups and connect to BBS on my 2400 baud modem.

A disk with links to visit is hilarious.
