So the general consensus is QC25 then.  What is the real life expectancy of the battery?

Does Qantas premium economy have usb charging in their seats by chance?

The battery will last a fairly long time and the case comes with a slot for a spare. Their estimate of 35 hours life sounds about right.

Qantas premium economy should have USB charging :)

I have Bose QC25 and love them on international flights (removes engine drone and noise from kids).
IMO Sound quality is slightly compromised compared to other Bose headsets without NC.

Single AAA battery lasts London and back, using on and off during the flight.

Ive tried cheap ones, forget it. Shell out for Bose QC20 and keep them. Both Audio Technica and Shure are nothing like as comfortable (for me at least). You can use the Boses anytime as they have the same remote functions as apple ones plus noise canceling.

I bought some of these for my last 3000km drive. They made driving long distances effortless but still allowed the beautiful induction roar of my car to be heard.
I love my car.

My wife's QC25's battery lasted to US and back, on all the time without needing to charge/replace.

My QC20's last around 16 hours.

Qantas economy, premium, business and first have USB charging points

Thanks all, QC25 it is then.

I've got both headphones and earphones from Bose. For flying, you want the earbuds, not the cans. That way you can wear them while you sleep. QC20 are the go.

Like Aircon, I use them for driving too. They reduce fatigue noticeably. I took them to Alice Springs last year and the Speciale's tiring racket disappeared.

It's extraordinary, isn't it? I never realised how tiring noise is until I took your advice and bought them. Brilliant.....and comfortable even after wearing for hours at a time.

The weird thing is the car seems to get quieter the faster you go which goes against all our experience. They are the first thing I pack for a country drive.
