I got 2 sims from a vending machine at Heathrow after I landed this morning. The one in the ipad works just fine but the one in the iPhone won't do data - which I need. Did I get the wrong kind if sim?

I'm no expert so just spitting chips until you find a solution - but what happens if you swap the sims?

The ipad sim is a data sim made for ipad. At best, my ipad will stop working if I swap them.

Will it call? If so you may need to activate data. Try calling the provider?

I've found that in prepaid Euro sims they offer you either calls or data. Not too sure about the UK but in Austria to get both calls and data on the same sim you have to get a plan.

Best to ask a phone shop or call provider though. Good luck

Probably helps with sales of dual sim phones.

Call the provider and ask if it can be activated. See what they say. Good luck!

Fixed data. Found it on YouTube. What a hassle. Now I need to top up. This is a dumb system.

Saw a Pagani showroom near the hotel. Time to go window shopping to cheer myself up. :)
