Out for a run through the parklands tonight and came across a few dudes flying planes in the park!  Awesome to watch, one guy was hovering his plane upright 6 inches from the ground and doing sweet stunts.

Anyone played with these?  Might have to look at how much they are...

Bought a couple over the years. Crashed and burned everytime.

Ended up buying the Esprit - less difficult to crash and more fun.

Yeah - at least with a Lotus you don't have to bother crashing it for it to burn :p

Haven't had an RC plane for a while but did play with RC Helicopters up until about 6 months ago when I cracked the shits with them.

Had a Walkera Dragonfly 64 stunt Heli, I was repairing the damn thing more than flying it.

I had the hover down pat until one day I had it hovering about 12 feet in the air, and it tied itself in a knot and ended up a pile of wreckage on the ground. That was it after that, couldn't bear to spend a day fixing it just so I could crash it again.

Not to mention almost losing two fingers at one stage as well.

+1. I've also had/have planes. Though I haven't flown for many years now there's still a few dollars worth sitting in the 'junk' room.
