I don't know much about seo etc.... But my parents need help with their website which I put together.

They really just need a few key words to bring them up on google.
They run a clothing store (retail)

Their budget is low. Can anyone help, or recommend someone to speak to?

Thier site would need to be optimised for Google to index it properly.

If you just want to advertise Google is expensive, Facebook is much cheaper and very effective but you would need a Facebook business page.

SEO "experts" are plentiful, expensive, and the results usually disappointing.

Build a Facebook page and place an ad with a small budget and see what happens.

its a small clothing shop on king william road. they sell leather clothing (jackets etc) there really aren't too many competitor stores in adelaide... so i don't know if the term LEATHER JACKET ADELAIDE would be hard to achieve.... but then again, i don't know SEO.

They already have a Facebook page, but they don't utilise it as much as they could...

Put a Facebook like button on the web page.

Add the opening hours to the Facebook page.

I'm on mobile so I'm not sure if desktop is serving up a different site. However if you can't buy anything on the site don't waste your time or money on SEO. Your going to get close to zero ROI.

There isn't much to work with on that site for an SEO specialist right now.

Fil-Ski has a point about the site lacking eCommerce functionality but that can be added at some point. For absolute starters begin with content generation.

Each product should have it's own page with a unique URL e.g. /red-leather-jacket

There should be very descriptive text on each product page 'This red leather jacket is constructed from the finest kangaroo leather etc etc'

Add an 'About us' page which is also very descriptive, add a blog, all images should have descriptive file names 'red-leather-jacket.jpg' all images should have the title and alt description filled out and the accompanying text should be very relevant to the subject matter.

You're starting with a fairly blank slate keep your URL structures clean and descriptive

..if you look at a URL and don't know what to expect when you open the link, it's not descriptive enough.

Depending on the short and long term goals your parents my be better off investing more time in social, hashtagging images on Instagram, following people in the local area, liking content from people that are their target market etc.
