Yesterday I looked up motels in Maldon Vic, didn't leave my email address anywhere, just searched Google.

I also got an email from a mate suggesting one.

This morning I get an email from Trip Advisor giving me specials on accommodation in Maldon.

How the f*** do they do this ???

I think it is cookies being stored on your computer from sites you visit.
So all those porn sites will come back to haunt you Dodgie!

If you are using MS Outlook you can use inprivate browsing.
It is under your tools tab or CTL and X at the same time. Then Safety, then "in private browsing".
Also after every internet session use the same Alt and X and use "delete browsing history" let that run until it tells you it is finished which may take 10 seconds to a minute.

I also use Malwarebytes.com about once a week to clean up the system, it looks for things like trogans and key loggers and also deletes temp files.

But I went onto carsales.com and was looking at (you guessed it - Ferrari). Closed that down and opened up another web page and lo and behold it had Ferrari ads down each side. That pissed me off and now I have my routine "cleansing session" after every internet session.

I have also taken to "unsubscribing" from anything I get that I don't want. I used to ignore them but they build up into hundreds. So these days I get very little crap emails.

Most browsers will have a private mode or an incognito mode, no history/cookies just close the session down. Google chrome at least I know can be set to launch in incognito mode every time. Would've been a good idea for the fella that had his iPad commandeered during a meeting.. the iPad was connected to a screen, the commandeer-er launched a new tab and boom - all his last viewed sites are pron    :scared:

Yep if you are going to look at Porn or similar then make sure you do it via a private method.
Also delete, delete, delete your history.
Keeping anything dubious on a machine that is used in any presentation is really dumb, even if you are operating it yourself as you can inadvertantly open something and you can watch your career disappear right before your eyes.

I've had the free one of this for years, you can delete whatever you like with it.

Most of the Powerpoint presentations I've seen over the years would have benefitted hugely by a side excursion into some "more interesting" sites.
