Get watchdog 3g it's pretty accurate.

Makes no difference - it's Virgin which is inaccurate and inconsistent with updates.

On the upside I notice that the charges are 10x lower than what they used to be - I just noticed in my earlier screenshot that as of May the charges are now 0.02c/kb (20c/mb) rather than the previous 0.2c/kb ($2/mb).

So yeah, not a big problem anymore - still rape, but at least they lube now.

AFAIK Watchdog measures it in and out of your phone, not taking off the provider's record

$4700 phone bill for 2.4 gb data.

Got out of it due to employee mis-information when reducing my data packs. Apparently my plan did NOT have 2GB of included data... :p

Yeah, which means nothing, Virgin don't care how much data I *actually* use, only what their own system thinks I do - and chooses to report erratically.
