Just got notice that Telstra charge $15/mb for international data usage or I can buy an "International Data Pack" with 100mb for $160.00!

Bought that pack, hammered Maps in NYC last October and got hit with a $7K bill for overuse.  I argued that my request for a progress bill caused them to mislead me and threatened to pull the account and and they wrote it off. It's criminal.

Just read Ash's first post, that is absolute gold. :p

Ash, you should be a writer, very few people have the ability to write creatively and vividly.

Got caught once with Telstra, huge data bill when I returned from OS, I complained and was told read the charges, the charges said $x per KB excess charge which means sweet fa to most people and that why they present it that way, loads of people who cant afford it have been lumbered with huge bills, I told them that their lack of a coherent warning was against the Trade Practices Act, deceptive and misleading conduct to be precise and I would be pursuing it, they waived 90% of the bill but what about all those who cant argue for themselves ?, these Telco low life employees behind these methods should be beaten to a pulp then locked up till they're well enough to be beaten to a pulp again

Gimme two weeks of isolation and an endless supply of grog and I'll write the next great novel. :D
