The silver car at Solitaire has no carbon on the side - silver all over.  In that colour, it looks like an Audi TT.

I had to describe it to my boss today who'd never heard of the R8 - he said "so is it like a TT?",  "sorta, think halfway between TT and Gallardo..."

Although I like white exotic cars, on the R8 it makes it look more similar to the TT

I loved the R8 when I did a photoshoot with one recently, but I agree that light coloured panel is a little weird.
