Matt black wheels might look nice on the Bumblebee;  but after only 3000 km all four wheels are trashed.
wow, no chips on mine with a slate finish grey.

Maybe the different design causes issues?

It looks like a really thin shit coating anyway, just get them powder coated and that won't happen again.........

Who was it that said the worst thing about owning a Ferrari is having to deal with the people who work on them?

Titanium wheel nut on my Speciale destroyed. ....... $280 thanks very much  :gnasher:

All overtightened to wrong torque as well

How do you think this was done?
Using a rattle gun?
I have felt using a gun to undo was acceptable but to tighten unacceptable.
But maybe if they are tight  and warm/hot the rattle gun can damage them on the undo.
I call it "monkeys with hammers".

Grrrrr......

I am not a fan of powder coating on wheels, too thick and ceramic like.
I bought this to drive so I will get them redone when they are more undercoat than black paint :p

It was rounded out by using the wrong size hex tool. It's a
17 mm, one size larger than you find in the average hex drive set. A bit of a giveaway when you are asked where the "special tool" for the wheel nuts are.

The over torqued nuts would likely be from a rattle gun. Shouldn't be used on titanium bolts. When you see the tool they use at the factory it does all 5 bolts at once and turns slowly, stopping at pre set torque.

I saw something about "scratchless hex sets" for doing this sort of work.
Could be bullshit.
If this is real what are they made of?
Who is the supplier?
My F430 has these on its wheels and they have never been off so I want to be prepared.

I used a normal 17mm on the Scuderia for 4 years no drama. Using the same tool on the Speciale now.
