So I was to leave work but got held up, left 30 mins later then driving home and a white Benz M 4wd drives past me with the plate RL, so he's going the same way as me and at the next lights I pull up beside him and ask if he'd sell the plate. I get his number and txt him asking same and he txt's back saying there were a bday present for his wife and to give him my best offer, so I did and he accepted.
I've been wanting that combo for years. Crazy stuff.
So him accepting my offer normally means I've paid too much.  :(  :D

In a case like that who really cares if you paid too much :)

If you absolutely must have a particular plate you really just have to man up and pay most of the time. Given that each plate is totally unique you really don't have a choice as you can't exactly buy it anywhere else.

when he told me his first name, it didn't start with R, so yeah I was suspicious.

Proof will be next week when we do the paperwork. I've got no doubt his last name starts with L.

He looked of asian background.
