One of the greatest F1 laps in history IMHO.

if any one of us could do just 1/10th of that would be impressive

Scott is right, sister car already here, ran and finished 10th in Sadelaide, plus already have a Lola and most important of all....just wanted an 80's F1 car, look awesome and its cheaper than a new kitchen fitout

Was the deal done before AMF 2016?, or did you push the button as a result of attending?

done beforehand, I've been looking around for about 6 months and there are many choices, its selecting what suits best for reliability and commonality of parts. Williams for example have many bespoke parts that would be unobtanium at best. Selecting a car that has off the shelf parts makes life easier. The dash is old school without electronics, carbon brakes and clutch are off the shelf and engine being a cosworth is again simple. The Williams V10's are awesome but Renault aren't helpful at all. Ferrari are even more bespoke, one of the F1's that attended the AMF needs a rebuild, Ferrari have quoted 500k for a V12 rebuild with no set time frame. Thus to have a named car with provenance requires deep pockets.

Miss a gear change and it would be pretty easy to blow the motor
Some of those down shifts sounded like 30,000 rpm
