(And we won't see the two door so stuff em)

Yeah i dont understand why they're so focused on practicality? if you're buying a bonkers fast super small car you're not likely to want/need 5 doors.

Has anyone driven one of the $100k Abarth Fiats yet? 0-100 in 5.6 seems sluggish for how much they have stripped out.

Nice car at about half the price. Biggest attraction was the dogbox, but even with that it's not a 100K car unless you literally have limitless funds and want it just because you want that brand. Painting the Biposto a mattish grey, filling it with black carbon fibre and leaving out aircon was genius too. Nothing like a puddle of ballsweat to go with a trip to the corner store.

I had an Abarth Ferrari Tributo at the time which felt about as good on the road and actually had more presence.

Neither car wanted to get the power down well through the fronts, both handled well, but not fantastically (remember they are still quite a tall car) and neither excited anyone but diehard car nuts.

Plenty out there better for the money. At 100K you can buy a 4C now which is about as practical as the biposto!
C'mon, do it!

Golf GTE.

Hell yes. Now we're talking.

Is this an actual thing? Or just a golf E?

If it's real what are the specs?

I guess that's reasonable performance. not quite a GTi but close.

I wonder if they will sell them here?

In all honesty, other than the Model S

this is the best EV on the market now

Image

if these were available in Australia I'd already have one.

the 0-100kph is somewhere around 8.8 seconds which isn't great. but the 0-50kph time is 2.8 seconds which is actually quite fast and all you need for a city car which would rarely be on the freeway anyway.
