Public Warning: Do not deal with Autoline Sydney and Advant Automotive

NSW Fair Trading is warning consumers not to deal with Avant Automotive Pty Ltd, which trades as Autoline Sydney and Advant Automotive.
NSW Fair Trading has suspended motor dealer licence number MD058561 following the issue of a Notice to Show Cause on the dealership, which is located at 7-9 Parramatta Road, Concord.
NSW Fair Trading has received a number of complaints from consumers relating to the sale of consignment vehicles and the alleged failure of the dealership to pay consignment money to customers.
One complaint related to the company purchasing and taking possession of a Lamborghini for $143,000. The consumer was promised payment within seven days but has not received the promised amount.
NSW Fair Trading Commissioner, Rod Stowe, said that investigations are continuing into the activities of these businesses.
“If consumers have consigned a vehicle for sale with Avant Automotive Pty Ltd trading as Autoline Sydney and Advant Automotive, and it has not yet been sold, they should collect their vehicle immediately,” Mr Stowe said.   
If a consumer has purchased and signed a prescribed Form 5 notice and paid in full for the purchase of a vehicle prior to 11.00am on 23 March 2017, please contact the business to arrange collection of the vehicle.
Customers who have dealt with Avant Automotive Pty Ltd trading as Autoline Sydney and Advant Automotive, and are not satisfied with their interaction, are urged to contact NSW Fair Trading on 13 32 20 or visit www.fairtrading.nsw.gov.au.
