The old man died and the son doesn't have quite the passion for it. A lot of the collection has been broken up and the son had expanded his WW2 military vehicle collection. He has some of the rarest and most valuable German tanks, a Tiger 1 and 2 King Tigers which are probably the 250 GTO of WW2 tanks.

2nd the Brookland idea. Mercedes has a massive museum/showroom there, and there is also the museum next door with cars and planes (Concorde). Also it's not too far from McLaren

Also there is the National Motor Museum down in the New Forest.  Lovely area and plenty to see there historical wise (Bluebird etc)

I went to Goodwood back in 2011, on the Friday. Whilst it's good as there isn't a massive crowd, there also was all the displays there. I would expect they would be there on the Saturday but all the action is on Sunday.
