Drove it today as they gave me one for several hours while the AV SV was in the service department.

Very nice car. Drives beautiful - smooth power delivery, very capable, nice handling, superb ride, very comfortable, nice quality interior, brakes could be better. Small - nowhere near as roomy as the germans. Certainly not $160k special. More like $80k special.

$80k doesn't get you into much off the showroom floor.  Especially from ze germans.  You'd be getting into a ok specced A4 or 323 for that money.  Meet you half way and call it $120k special?

Anyway, if it depreciates like when the Lexus IS-F tried to take on the M3, it's be sub 50k in under 2 years.

Meeting women on the Internet? Remember, the more similarities u “magically” have, & the more she agrees with u, the fucking crazier she is.

Its far from that crap gearbox!! that was a train wreck. I agree 160K to much $120 - $130k meh I could live with, there's talk of a coupe version coming!! This is what we have so far.

It's a regular 8 speed slushbox auto. For the money not having a solid dual clutch is nuts.
C'mon, do it!

I'm not surprised. The DCT in the old model had lots of different modes and none of them worked very well. The new M5 looks like being too big, just like the last one.

^^^ With MHH on this, M5's become a tourer rather than a sports saloon. Auto in that all the way.

From my Mechanics verdict the Cars a weapon...and has almost the same characteristics as a dual clutch but in
smoother delivery.

Alfa had to get this right and having a solid DC may have sparked a "Too Raw" option scenario for a sports sedan? Apparently in race mode its almost the same animal as the 4c's DC selector.

I haven't driven it, but today I get to drive a Veloce model with the same set up. We'll see how she goes in sports mode.

Your mechanic needs to drive some proper dual clutches mate. I'm all for being a brand fan, but a slushbox isn't the same.
C'mon, do it!
