According to the article, the passenger in the Zonda was able to walk away from the crash because he wore his seatbelt whilst the driver died because he did not.  In this day and age, there is no excuse NOT to wear your seatbelt.

According to NT Govt over 50% of people who died in a prang were not wearing a seatbelt and drunk, but please stop trying to thwart the logic that speed is the real issue.
