No idea what you two are on about.

Anyhoo - will be interesting to see how this one ends up, whether it sits for a decade or goes for half the ask - probably won't hear about it anyhow.

That's another one of Tony's cars. He has his Black Murcie Roadster for sale as well as the black 430.

It's ridiculous money. I am very familiar with the car - it is mint. But I personally would not pay more than $150k for it. The theory he's using is that since Boxers and Daytonas are going up so much, the Countach is the next to follow. Maybe... but not $350k+

He doesn't actually want to sell it. He just put a ridiculous price on it to see if anyone would bite.

ahhhhhhhh, someone beat me to it.

i figured i would just type COUNTACH on carsales, expecting to see a replica of some sort...........then my eyeballs popped out of my sockets.

$365k is steep, even for a rare LP400, but being that they are rare, I believe anyone looking for one locally without having the hassle of importing one from the US or the UK will pay for it, but this would obviously be for the type of person where they see $365k as chump change.

but it is beautiful.......  :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

think if i messaged him in a very polite manner, that I would be able to just look at the car in the flesh??? and take a few photos here and there?

correction, LP500!

LP500 was the prototype I think, only one built.  This is an LP500S but usually known as LP5000S - LP refers to the position and direction of the engine, 5000 cos it's 5 litres, not sure what the S is come to think of it....

Just noticed a few nice piccies of it on the street by 98octane:
