Does anyone here know more about the history of this car?

Currently owned up in Newcastle since April 2010, had some issues around cat converters and O2 sensors, but other than that, looking to know more about its past.

I know it's owned by a Limo rental firm for weddings and suchlike - so not sure on that for starters!

When they bought it from Lane/Duttons in 2010 it was mint when I looked at it.

It's a '97, not a '98.

If it hasn't been wrecked since, it's a good car and great price.

It might be owned by a wedding company, but it wouldn't have been driven by anyone but the owners.

The O2 sensors - it has after market exhaust, so probably it wasn't set up properly.

Thanks Andre, very useful to know.  Heading off to have a look at it on the weekend, will see what condition it's in now.  Do you happen to know what exhaust it did have?  Something branded or custom built?

I'm guessing since the O2 was failing, it was running rich which probably killed the cat internals with excess fuel.

Does it still need cats at that age? And if so, I'm guessing it's easy to switch out the middle boxes.

So it seems it has developed an Engine R fault overnight.  Think I'll probably give this one a miss ... :-D

Is it just the R engine cel? That can be anything, including and most likely right cat overheating, o2 sensor or a myriad of othet simple cheap to fix issues. Especially if the car runs fine. I'd be more concerned of the condition of the clutch or the adjustable shocks.
