Wow what a difference replacing the battery has done to the feel of the car.

More respnsive through pedal blip to through the rev range. The gears change quicker and harder and my stereo went from faint display (sound always worked so I thought the stereo was on way out) to vivid and sharp.

The battery was only 2 years old according to marking on battery. It was varta which is used in murcielago. I was limited to a European brand of battery as the holder had specific attachments but increased cca from 730 to 830.

I'm just gob smacked at the benefit of the battery!

Massive thread dig, but thought I'd post as I just had to do this replacement, and after trawling through the Internet for some solid guidance and reading posts with contradicting info, and also drop down lists from century and Marshall batteries specified quite a low amp battery, and again, contradicting sizes.  Working overseas I wanted to order whatever I needed to do the job as I only had the afternoon when I flew in yesterday to get it done, and I didn't want to run around Sydney trying to match a battery.

Anyway, to cut the crap, I replaced with an Oprimax Yellowtop D34.  Fit was perfect.  Has an extra 300CCA than what was in there, plus when the old lady knocks out the trickle charger in between my 6 monthly visits home, the yellow top will survive the recharge.

Don't know if it's placebo, but a lot of little niggles are gone.  Used to get errors on the auto shocks, lift and rear wing return.  These have dissapeared.
