Ok - what's the story with the C/T?  Lots of Lambo-lubbers here.  It has the US ~84 bumper, awesome car with a silly but unignorable defect - like Megan Fox in a bikini with hemarroids.

Edit: discussion split from other topics, about this Lambo:

Edit 2: Testarossa and Countach are pretty much the ultimate 80's garage

yep agree..trying to get a Euro bar for it.  Proving more difficult than i thought.
It's an 88 1/2 QV5000 with Fuel Injected 5.2 litre.
White with White Interior (with black inserts).
I wanted the Fuel Injected model cause i couldn't be fagged with carbs...but I didn't want an anniversary.

The 88.5 has the looks of the earlier Countach but the reliability of the Anniversary...if there is such a thing as a reliable Countach?

Apparently they only made a total of 50 88.5 QV's...that's what i have been told by a yank...not sure if it is true though....Anyone know?

I have the plates...but it is not registered..

Ash best to take this to another  thread i think...object was the 360 spider on graysonline remember????

Oooh - I distinctly remember a lengthy discussion on this topic a few years back, probably the vintage section of LamboPower.com I think - but they had a crash since then and lost everything, otherwise the Lambo section of FChat is the next best bet.

I am told there where 12 RHD  88 1/2  Countachs manufactured  two are for sale in the UK @  specialist dealer, this was the interim model before the cross over to the 25th Anniversary. Only US cars got injection all European cars had carbys, my personal preference as the injected cars where down on power by about 20Bhp

hope this helps

Cheers

SS

I am normally too ashamed to show this photo of my Countach.

Anyone know where i can get a euro front bar for my Countach...apart from Eurospares?

For any other Countach owners out there, I have remanufactured the rear suspension heim joints and rods for mine and have a few spare sets for sale.

Heim Joints simply screw into the existing original rods.

Do Euro spares have one you don't want to buy for some reason?

Have you tried Douglas valley wreckers? uk+perth

There's some superb glass/carbon moulders here in Melb... can easily mould one if you got a donor/copy sample.

I am trying to get one locally rather than import from UK or USA.
It's a little too big and heavy to bring in on its own.

Tried Douglas Valley  and they do not have one either.

There is a guy in Doncaster with a Countach replica and has all the moulds, but they are about 10mm too short :(

Two places to try  Countess Mouldings in NZ they make exact replicas  or UK Carrera Sport Mike Pullen
