just came across this car - hot pink Diablo Roadster from Dubai - $150k.  :scared:  i figgered for that price you'd just grab it and repaint it and redo the interior, but i called them up and he said it's already sold though.  :waah:  you might be able to contact them and see if the new owner will take a premium over what he paid for it...

I am waiting on the guy to get back to me.

I feel worst than when I missed out just by one day on the XJ220 for only $235k in sydney. Or the Diablo coupe for $80k in Melb in 2003 (missed that one by 30min).

is that all? That would be getting retrimmed along with the new paint. I thought he meant the car was hit and so bad that even the interior was damaged - meaning the car had a real big smash.

I figured by the time its been resprayed AND retrimmed it would no longer be a bargain. Am I wrong?

It's regardless about the bargain issue. It's the fact that you can't find them for sale. As I said in my first post, I've been actively searching for 4 years.

Anyway, spoke to the guy. He said he'll pass my details to the buyer and I just have to wait an see  :(
