I bet LHD->RHD conversion will be something insane anyway...

:irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked: :irked:

If you haven't heard the story, then pull up a chair.   :p

Short version - I can buy almost all of the parts in the US to do the RHD conversion for $2000.

But I am not allowed to do the conversion myself - it mush be done by a RAWS, even though my work would be 300% better.

I can buy an Exec spec'ed V8 '05 Stang for $US9k in great condition and low miles. But because of the stupid laws it would cost me $80k to $90k to have it on the road.  :gnasher:

Not happy. I really did want one even if they are:

"But by European standards this car is rubbish. Its engine has wasteful, unused capacity that turns fuel into nothing, it couldn’t get from one end of a country lane to the other without running out of brakes and it handles like a newborn donkey."

huh?

Nope. Aus market have numerous Aus specific parts.. like Cats as a main one. Also miles not km etc etc

also things like ride height is lower in UK, and all the usual crap that goes with it.

What do you mean world car?
Yeah I'm no mechanic, but by world car I meant that while they do have changes for each market the majority are cosmetic (except the US as they are pedactic).
And does the UK really not require cats!

you simply do a deal with the RAWS as a sub contractor.

Not hard at all.

Hey chaps, sorry to bring this back to the future...

Just curious, has anybody ACTUALLY imported a used G, GTR, 360 etc before? As far as I can tell it's all just speculation when it comes to pricing or values etc...

The answer is yes, but because it's a northern hemisphere spec GPS, you must reverse all the directions it gives.
