The answer is yes, but because it's a northern hemisphere spec GPS, you must reverse all the directions it gives.

And upside down them......................

Load the (correct) map DVD and it should work.

Never heard of commands being issued back to front, unless a moron wrote the software routing engine.
Which I doubt.

But then again   strange things have been known to happen in the IT world.

to anyone that comes across this later, I have been told by an importer that UK delivered cars GPS doesn't work in Australia (as to his knowledge), doesn't mean it can not be done, but it doesn't work if you just bring it over and turn the car on....

You should only have to install the local maps. The GPS I bought in America and brought home just needed the Australia map installed and now my wife is the only appliance that tells me where to go.

yeah but i'm assuming you bought a portable GPS that is marketed to the world and to be cost effective it has the ability to load maps of around the world very easy, UK delivered cars are not made expecting to live out the rest of their lives on a different continent... i'm sure lambo loads the maps on for the country it is destined to be sold in, it probably can be re loaded but it isn't an easy thing to do like a portable GPS

easy question to answer.

Get a local gallardo
pull the map dvd out
insert it into an import.

see if it works.

Up to you guys now to test it out.
