so if i imported from england, i would have to write to my government or vicroads to get it registered and inspected for legal use? if so, what a long process but worth it.

RAWS cars must be imported by Raws workshops.

it's a stupid law, but it's law.

You're better off saving up and getting a local car. It's much more pleasurable.

But, you can save a little bit of $$ by importing, but you'll lose out again come re-sale time.

May as well buy a local one in that case, and they would propably laugh at you.

If you buy one in the UK or else where, it will have to be imported via a RAWS and complied but them.

Unless you can buy one very, very cheap, forget about it and buy a local one.
