As I mentioned in another thread I was flown to Sepang, Malaysia last week by Lamborghini to be part of the coverage for the Aventador launch they were holding at the F1 circuit. I headed to Singapore direct from there for the F1 race hence the delay in getting photos online.

The Lambo marketing manager I dealt with was a great guy and is keen on letting everyone experience the car, so even as the photographer I was given 4 laps around the circuit. First one of their test drivers took you out as a passenger to learn the track and then it was me all alone in the car. In-car vid here: http://youtu.be/SVv81a3Qsc8

The car itself is brilliant, but I haven't driven any other exotics on track before so hard to compare. Acceleration is crazy as you'd expect from 700hp, but in Strada mode its quick docile. Your neck won't like the shifts in Corsa mode..

It wasn't a great event in terms of photo opps but I have no complaints at all, came out with one of my best experiences yet and there should be another exciting event coming up in a few months :)

Enough chat, few pics:

Lucky guy! Not too sure about the Aventador. The rear diffuser makes the car looks as if it has mudflaps and the side (at the back) does not look right to me. Needs wider wheels. That's just me, I've been looking at too many jap cars.

What was in the buffet?  :D

Haha, definitely Mark - I want to own my own supercar and not just drive demo/press cars (even though that works out much cheaper!)

Yep,  one of the three was RHD. I just lucked out when it was my turn to drive and got a LHD - although not much of an issue on track.

Amazing opportunity, and great photos came out of it. You've done your job well. The 2nd shot is especially great!
