From what i have read on the lambopower forum the Gallardo replacement will
be DSG and 600hp.
not too shappy.

Not too shabby and surely enough - but not class-leading.  The rest of the world has moved ahead.

Begs the question, what would you consider class leading? DSG is pretty much the pinnical at the moment.

I guess he's saying more about the 600hp. McLaren is already there....to lead the pack the Cabrera going to need more power or a lot less weight or both. DSG will be the least of its worries. And it will also have a 458 Monte Carlo to deal with.
Then again there are always Lambo people who are disinterested in Ferrari and Mclaren et al.
For some it has to be a Lambo...and I totally get that!

I meant horsepower.  The McLaren 12C already has 625 hp.  DSG is the best gearbox type but it is hardly revolutionary - my Golf GTI had it in 2007.  When the Gallardo in came out in 2003 it beat the best-in-class 360 easily for power.

Yep, but there is no mention of weight, 600 could be more than enough if it comes with a carbon enhanced low weight. You don't have to have the biggest number to win. Although it helps :D

Good point about weight - it could be the Lambo's secret weapon and USP.  I'm still hoping this will be a blinder of a car and even a replacement for the 458.
